However about 3 years ago it became more difficult to start, especially in winter. It got so bad that I fitted a Kenlowe hot start to pre heat the engine but eventually even this wouldn't help it to start.

In the end I tried very reluctantly'Easy Start' even putting an unlit oxy/acetylene torch down the inlet manifold and it still wouldn't start. Obviously I couldn't tow it so was stuck with essentially a scrap machine. The cause of the engine becoming u/s was that the air filter bottom had come off and allowed dust to enter. I enquired about new pistons and they were so expensive I had no other option but to scrap the machine. I sat down had a brew and read a Classic Tractor magazine and saw your advert. I had nothing to lose so I bought some Restore, took the injectors out and poured it into the bores and hand-turned the engine over. I left it overnight before taking the Restore out and putting it in the sump with clean oil and new filter. I put everything back and turned the engine over and to my amazement it eventually started. I used it for about an hour then stopped and left it. This was in winter and the following morning I tried starting the machine thinking to myself "well I bet it won't start, yesterday was a fluke".

There was a light frost on the digger and I went through the motions of preheat and then cranked it. It started straight away, I couldn't believe it, even with the drag of the cold hydraulic oil. Anyway, that was 2 years ago now and it's still going strong. Utterly amazing product - wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It worked for me and saved me scrapping a useful machine.

Using RESTORE Engine Restorer & Lubricant gives long-lasting benefits. The repair is'semi-permanent' in that the particles become fused into the scratches by the dynamic action (friction and heat) of the engine and so become part of the metal surface that they have filled.
